An original, 1960s potato ricer and giant metal whisk set. Amazing old kitchen utensils to use or display. The ricer is embossed "Made in France, Brevete S.G.D.G." at the front, and has the words "Moulin-Legumes" on the handle. Perfect for purée potato, for "fluffy" mash. Easy to use, you can simple "click" out the handle bar to change/clean the disc. It has three feet that pull out and clip, to stabilise the ricer when in use, and fold away for ease of storage when not in use. In excellent vintage condition, in full working order, it is perfect for vintage kitchen displays and food photography props. A wonderful eco-friendly, no electricity or batteries, old-fashioned kitchen utensil that is gentle with the vegetables, pressing them slowly to retain the maximum goodness. I have paired it with this wonderful vintage metal whisk, as together they look fabulous. The whisk is old and has one missing strand (see last photo for details.) It is still strong and sturdy. Both of these items have rust/tarnish marks, consistent with their age and from years of genuine use in the kitchens of provincial France, so please do take a good look at the photos to view their condition. The "wear" simply make them more desirable and alluring!
The whisk measures a huge 47cms/ 8½" long! The ricer measures 38cms/ 15" long (to the handle), the bowl is 24cms/ 9½" diameter x 11cms/ 4¼" deep. Together they weigh 1.1kgs/ 2.42 lbs.
