This is a set of six mismatched blue and white transferware plates and bowls. A one-off curated collection, perfect for displaying on a country cottage dresser or for weddings and vintage tea parties.
Each plate pattern is different, each is equally as lovely. These look absolutely charming when layered on top of each other.
You will receive exactly this set of plates.
This collection weighs 2.9kgs/ 6.4 lbs altogether.
There is one large dinner plates, measuring 26cms/ 10¼" diameter.
One medium dinner plate measuring 23cms/ 9" diameter.
Two dishes/bowls measuring 24cms/ 9½" diameter x 4cms/ 1½" deep and 22cms/ 8½" diameter x 4cms/ 1½" deep
Two tea/side plates measuring 20cms/ 7¾" diameter and 19cms/ 7½" diameter.
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. They all have an ageing 'hairline crackle' to the glazes, which is to be expected with the age of these plates and is desirable for that 'antique' look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm.
Most of them are marked, a mix of French and English pottery manufacturers, ranging from 'Sarreguemines' and 'Churchill' to 'Royal Tudor' and 'Mynott'.
They have some lovely names, such as 'The Brook', 'Romantic' and 'Bouquet.'
