A medieval re-enactment drinking set consisting of two stoneware, bottles and four stoneware pottery goblets. Perfect for medieval style dining and medieval/ boho wedding table settings.
The goblets are solid and sturdy, with wide bases. Each is handmade and glazed in a 'rough', drip, style of neutral oatmeal/taupe colors, with burnt umber and raw sienna speckles across their entire surface, both inside and outside. They have a slight iridescence to the glazes from the kiln firing, which sometimes creates small glaze imperfections. Because each is hand made, no two are identical, making them unique and individual, exuding rustic charm!
Two are slightly taller than the other two. They are approx. 13cms/ 5" tall, 7cms / 2¾", diameter, at the base, and 6.5cms / 2½" diameter at the top. They each weigh 300gms/ 10.5ozs.
There are a few 'unglazed' spots and rough edges, consistent with this type of kiln firing.
The two bottles are also 'rough' textured and grazed, giving them authentic rustic charm. Both are perfectly watertight, they have 'finger' handles. There are 'nibbles' at the bases.
The larger of the two pitchers stands 24.5cms/ 9½" tall and is 11cms/ 4¼", at it's widest. It weighs 900gms/ 2lbs.
The thinner bottle is 23.5cms/ 9¼" tall and 9cms/ ½" wide, to the handle. It weighs 600gms/ 1.3lbs.
Again they have a textured quality from the 'speckled' air bubbles formed during the glazing process. They are incredibly tactile.
Ideal for mulled wine too, as they are equally practical for both hot and cold drinks.
