These eight books are all distressed from years of genuine use, and some of the pages are delicate and loose:
The titles are:

This book has an old black and white photo, tucked inside the front cover, of a group of young people in Cognac, from 22nd September 1950, their names are written on the back. He has been considered by many to be one of the most brilliant orators of all time and a masterly French stylist. This book contains a selection of his sermons and speeches with notes and commentaries.
These eight antique books have, over their long life, gathered penciled scholarly notes, remarks and comments, on the pages, over the years. I've left them exactly as I found them because they're authentic. They are in genuine vintage condition, as you can see from the photos and some of the pages and covers are slightly loose. One or two of the books have their first few pages uncut - they have been like this since publication - and are all the more charming for it. They have been held and read by many, many people who have 'thumbed through' them, studied them, ear marked pages, loved, lost and cherished them and they have finally ended up here - looking for a new home and a new adventure. Most importantly they have that 'old book smell' reminiscent of libraries and bookshops from a by-gone era - fabulously comforting.
To display altogether on a shelf, you will need a minimum space of 19cms/ 7½" high x 18cms/ 7" long x 13cms/ 5" deep.
