This set of six rare, vintage, French, porcelain, fish plates are very collectible and an ideal gift for fish chefs. Illustrated with edible saltwater fish, and seafood, they are perfect for fish lovers the world over and would make a truly original present for anyone who loves fishing and cooking fish.

They measure 24cms/ 9½" diameter. They are deep sided too, 2.5cms/ 1", so that the fish can be served with sauces and dressings, without risk of spillage.
They each weigh 480gms/ 1 lb.
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. They have some slight wear to the surfaces, consistent with their age and use, but nothing whatsoever to detract from their beauty or functionality. They have many years of service yet to offer.

Glazed "creamy" white, rather than "brilliant/bright" white, there are three different designs, two of each. The colors and details of the illustrations are incredibly accurate and realistic. There is so much to see in these plates, jellyfish and tropical fish in the backgrounds, alongside sea urchins, mussels and langoustine/prawns around the edges. The 'water' is 'brushed' across the fish to give the impression of its movement through the sea.

They all have the "MOULIN DES LOUPS 'ORCHIES' NORD" France (Mill of wolves in English) mark on the underside.
