This set of six French, porcelain, fish plates, fish platter and fish sauce boat is the perfect gift for anglers. They are very collectible and an ideal gift for fish chefs. Perfect for fish lovers the world over these would make a truly original present for anyone who loves fishing and cooking fish.

Sumptuously ornate plates. They all have a tactile, fluted, edge, with a delicate gilt "line" border and filigree "lace" patterned edge.
The plates measure 24cms (9½") diameter.
The platter is 37cms (14½") long x 24cms (9½") wide, It is deep too, 4cms/ 1½", so that the fish can be served with sauces and dressings, without risk of spillage.
The sauce boat is 22cms (8½") long, handle to spout, x 11cms (4¼"), at it's widest. It is 8cms (3¼") deep. The wide gilding on the spout and handle is pristine.
Altogether this set weighs 3.7kgs/ 8.1 lbs.

There are six different designs on the plates illustrating various European freshwater fish swimming amongst reeds and seashells, such as Roach and Perch. The colors and details of the illustrations are incredibly accurate and realistic. The matching platter has the "Pike" motif, the sauceboat matches the "Carp" and "Salmon" motifs.

All excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, they have some surface scratches, consistent with their age and use, but nothing whatsoever to detract from their beauty or functionality. There is light "wear" to the gilding, nothing noticeable at normal viewing distance, adding to their "vintage" appearance for authenticity and charm.
