This is a set of six mismatched blue and white transferware plates/bowls. A one-off curated collection, perfect for displaying on a country cottage dresser or for weddings and vintage tea parties.
Each pattern is different, each is equally as lovely. These look absolutely charming when layered on top of each other. You will receive exactly this set of plates/dishes.
This collection weighs 2.4kgs/ 5.3 lbs altogether. There is one large, deep sided, dinner plate, measuring 24.5cms/ 9¾" diameter, marked "Biltons, Made in England" on the underside. One dinner plate measuring 24cms/ 9½" diameter, marked "Churchill, England". One large bowl measuring 23cms/ 9" diameter. It is stamped "Mynotts, Country Life, Hand Engraved English Scenes. Fine Staffordshireware, Made in England 1982". One tea plate measuring 17.5cms/ 6¾" diameter, embossed "EIT, England". Two small bowls, measuring 16cms/ 6¼" diameter x 4cms/ 1½" deep. One is marked "Melody. Mynott, Fine Ironstone, England 1982" the other "Churchill, Made in Staffordshire, England".
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. They may have the beginnings of some slight ageing "hairline crackle" to the glazes, and some mild discoloration, which is to be expected with the age of these plates and is desirable for that "antique" look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm.
