This is a stack of 6 mixed fish plates, in six different fish designs, a "ready-to-display" set for your china hutch/vintage dresser. The perfect shabby chic plate collection, they are ideal for decorating kitchen walls or for celebrations/ weddings/ shabby chic dinner parties. This is a "one of a kind" plate collection, sumptuously ornate plates, rare and collectible. All these plates are French porcelain, dating from the 1950's, to the 1980's.
Altogether they weigh 2.3kgs/ 5 lbs!
The stack is made up of:
Two "Limoges porcelain" dinner plates, with gold "gilt" edges and a pretty trailing "fronds" gold border pattern, measuring 23.5cms/ 9¼" diameter.
One "Limoges Porcelain" dinner plate, with a "filigree" lace gold edge pattern, measuring 22cms/ 8¾" diameter.
One "Lunéville Faience" dinner plate, with a fluted, gilt "line" edge and wide "ribbed" border. It measures 24.5cms/ 9¾" diameter. The mark dates from 1923 onwards.
Two unmarked "Lunéville" dinner plates, also with a gilt "line" edge and wide border, measuring 23.5cms/ 9¼" diameter.
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Some have ageing "hairline crackle" to the glazes and they may have the faintest wear to the gilding and motifs, consistent with their age, this in no way detracts from the beauty or quality of this beautiful plate stack, it is desirable for that "antique" look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm. They have many years of service yet to offer
