This is a set of four mismatched blue and white transferware plates/dishes. A curated collection, perfect for displaying on a country cottage dresser or for weddings and vintage tea parties.
Each plate pattern is different, each is equally as lovely. These look absolutely charming when layered on top of each other. You will receive exactly this set of plates.
Altogether these four plates/dishes weigh 1.8kgs/ 4 lbs.
There is one large dinner plate measuring 27cms/ 10½" diameter. It is stamped "Ard'time" on the underside. One medium dinner plate, measuring 24cms/ 9½" diameter. It has the "BP Sarreguemines" mark incorporated into the design at the front. One small plate measuring 20.5cms/ 8" diameter. It is stamped "Ard'time." One small bowl measuring 16.5cms/ 6½" diameter x 4.5cms/ 1¾" deep. It is stamped "Mynott, Fine Ironstone, England 1982"" Melody" on the base.
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Two of them are new, two are vintage. The two vintage ones have the beginnings of ageing "hairline crackle" to the glazes, which is to be expected with the age of these plates and is desirable for that "vintage" look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm.
