This is a set of eight mismatched blue and white transferware plates/bowls A one-off curated collection, perfect for displaying on a country cottage dresser or for weddings and vintage tea parties.
Each plate pattern is different, each is equally as lovely. These look absolutely charming when layered on top of each other. You will receive exactly this set of plates.
This collection weighs 3kgs/ 6.6 lbs altogether. There is: One large dinner plate, measuring 25cms/ 9¾" diameter. It has the Staffordshire Ironstone, England "Liberty Blue, Independence Hall" mark on the underside. Two large bowls, measuring 23cms/ 9" x 4cms/ 1½" deep. One is from the "English Style" range by Lunéville, France, the other has the Staffordshire Ironstone "Myotts Country Life" mark, from their 1982 range. One medium bowl, measuring 22cms/ 8½" diameter, by "Churchill, England." One small dinner plate measuring 20.5cms/ 8" diameter. It is from the "Blue Fruit" range by Wood & Sons, England. One side plate measuring 20cms/ 7¾" diameter. This model, number 8, dates from between 1896 to 1952 and is marked "MOULIN DES LOUPS & HAMAGE NORD, DELFT" on the underside. One tea plate measuring 17cms/ 6¾" diameter. One small bowl measuring 16cms/ 6¼" diameter x 4.5cms/ 1¾" deep, marked "Churchill, England."
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. A couple of the bowls have ageing "hairline crackle" to the glazes, which is to be expected with the age of these plates and is desirable for that "antique" look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm.
