A rare and unusual pair of brass "Peacock" candlestick holders. These gorgeous chamber sticks are the ultimate Gothic/Victorian home styling accessories.
Decorative and practical, the "tail" is the handle, whilst the back and wings form the "drip tray". The base foot and candle cup are threaded and will unscrew to allow easy cleaning. They have a genuine patina, with signs of verdigis in the grooves and indentations, essential for authenticity in styling.
They are 22cms/ 8½" long, from head to tail and 9cms/ 3½", across their wings. They are 7cms/ 2¾" tall, without the candles. Each one weighs 250gms/ 8.8ozs.
