A Rare Olympia "Splendid 33" Typewriter with French Keyboard. It comes complete with it's carry case.
The AZERTY keyboard has French accent keys.
The perfect Retro office décor.
Can be used/displayed in the box or out.
This typewriter is in remarkable condition, with no chips or cracks. The carriage moves freely, and all the keys move freely, making that fabulous clicking noise from "by-gone" times!
We're selling it as a decorative object, but it works perfectly and so, once cleaned with alcohol and fitted with a new ribbon, it would be fully functional. We haven't any experience of typewriting, so cannot offer any advise on this.
The typewriter fits into the box base perfectly, the box has some marks and stains, consistent with use. The zip fastens perfectly all the way around. It has the original Germany makers label on the back.
We think it's the perfect bookshelf accent piece for a 1960s home office.
In the case, it weighs 5.2kgs/ 11.5 lbs!
