Large French Boulangerie Basket. Vintage Baguette Basket.

This is a traditional French Boulangerie display basket.
These baskets sit on many bakers shelves here in France.
This is a large basket with a tall, divided, basket at the bottom, for displaying multiple baguettes, a middle shelf, for "'petit pains" (bread rolls) and a basket at the top (with a smaller central "pot" basket woven in) for displaying croissants or "pain au chocolat/chocolatine". The croissants sit around the outside and fresh herbs, yeast packets or breadsticks in the centre. The bottom section is designed like a "cage", with an opening at the front, to stop the baguettes from falling out if being transported.

Full of character and French country charm it would look great displayed in a traditional farmhouse kitchen or in a vintage tea room. It would look super stylish on a large family picnic too!

It's in excellent condition with no signs of serious damage to the wicker, no visible broken strands. The wicker has some mild discoloration in the corners, consistent with it's age and use, but nothing to detract from its beauty or functionality.. It is clean and light; with years of life left in it!

It is really tall, standing 80cms/ 2ft 7½" tall and is 32cms/ 12½" diameter.
It weighs 1.2kgs/ 2.6 lbs.
