An antique platter by T & R Boote ltd. If you are looking for a rare and collectible addition to your "inky blue" transferware collection then it should be this plate. This semi-porcelain plate was produced in 1890, the factory produced for only a very short time period, and ceased everything except tile manufacture from 1906 onwards. This plate is so pretty, worn, stained and "glaze crackled" to perfection. It has no chips. Stamped "1890 Waterloo Potteries, Trademark. Royal Premium, Semi Porcelain. T & R Boote, England. No. 139953" on the underside. Please take a good look at the photos to view the full condition of this plate. It is over 130 years old so will need to be handled with respect for its age and condition.
The stunning floral motif and border pattern covers most of the plate, so it looks fabulous from every angle! Perfect for displays or to use for special occasions.
It measures 39.5cms/ 15½" x 27.5cms/ 10¾" and is heavy, weighing 1.6kgs/ 3.5lbs.
Authentic, antique shabby chic dining at it's best!
