This is an enormous, genuine antique, French, hand-forged iron key from the late 1800's.
Increasingly rare and difficult to find.
These keys are very collectible and they have a lovely authentic patina from "by-gone" times. It is gnarly and knobbly, "aged to perfection"!

There are so many ways to use and display it. It looks lovely simply attached to lace, ribbon or twine for bundling books or tying up gifts.
We think it's the perfect accent piece for a stack of antique book pages, as a paperweight.
