Designed to give your bookshelves added 'French chic', this is a stunning set of five antique French books in faded grey/blue tones. They are 'aged to perfection' and will give you an instant 'old library' effect. They can be used as photo and film props, as well as table centrepieces for boho weddings and shabby chic displays.

They look lovely tied up with twine and displayed on a coffee table, sideboard, mantelpiece, bedside table or dresser. The covers have faded with time to subtle, dusky, soft tones and the pages are yellowed with age, with age spots.

This book bundle is made up of French, antiquarian school books, very collectible and increasingly hard to find. They are in genuine vintage condition, as you can see from the photos. They have been held and read by many, many people who have 'thumbed through' them, studied them, ear marked pages, loved, lost and cherished them and they have finally ended up here - looking for a new home and a new adventure. They have also gathered a few pencil marks and names inside the covers over the years. I've left them exactly as I found them because they're authentic.

Most importantly they have that 'old book smell' reminiscent of libraries and bookshops from a by-gone era - fabulously comforting.

Le Français au Brevet Supérieur, Mr et Mme. P. Crouzet (1915 edition.) This enormous book is a comprehensive study of the French language through famous French Literary works by writers such as Corneille, Racine, Molière, La Fontaine, Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Victor Hugo.

Artithétique, classe de fin d'études, M. Royer et P. Court (1946 edition.) Fractions, mental arithmetic, volumes, weights, measures and geometry all feature in this book. There are some lovely old stamps, pasted inside the front cover of this book.

Les Sciences, Physiques & Naturelles, avec notions d'Agriculture, Cours Moyen, A. Bremant (1938 edition.) Designed for children aged 9 -11 this book is packed full of information and illustrations on everything from water vapors and liquids, plant reproduction, magnetism, electricity and heat. It is fascinating, full of anatomical diagrams and illustrations. It covers the dissection of plants and animals, reproduction and evolution. The anatomy of the human body, and everything from the function of our organs to the digestive system and our senses. Once you pick this book up it is impossible to put down again!

Methode de Stylistique Française à l'usage des éléves, E. Legrand (1933 edition.) A French language study book, packed full of language exercises, analysis and verb conjugations.

Analyse Grammaire et Logique, E. Grammont et A. Hamon (1951 edition.) Another book of language exercises, sentence construction, analysis and verb conjugations.
