An enormous pack of 150+ antique, French, book pages. The oldest pages in this bundle are from 1811, the rest range from 1821, 1843 and 1881 to 1936.
They have all aged naturally and this has created a beautiful range of shades from antique white through ivory and beige to sepia.
The patina on these pages is amazing. The paper feels old and "time worn". Some of these pages are "fluffy" with irregular edges, they are "aged to perfection" and are in genuine antique condition, as you can see from the photos, they have "age spots" and edge discoloration which adds to their charm and authenticity. They have rough edges along their spines.
Most of these sheets have text/print on both sides.
This pack contains:
25 large, double sided, pages from the 1881 edition "Le Musée Artistique et Littéraire", measuring 22cms x 31cms (8½" x 12¼".) These pages have many wonderful images (sometimes only half images.) These pages are 141 years old!
12 double sided pages from an 1811 edition of Voltaire's "Correspondence Générale", measuring 13cms x 20cms (5¼" x 7¾".) These pages are 211 years old!
13 double sided pages from an 1821 edition of Voltaire's "Histoire de Charles XII, Roi de Suède et Histoire de L'Empire de Russie, sous Pierre-le-Grand", measuring 13.5cm x 21.5cms (5¼" x 8½".) These pages are 201 years old!
25 pages from an 1843 Greek-French dictionary, measuring 24cms x 16cms (9½" x 6¼") You will receive a great range of pages with different letters from the Greek alphabet. The pages are 179 years old!
25 pages from a 1929 edition of Lamartine's "Méditations Poétiques", measuring 21cms x 14cms (8¼" x 5½".)
25 pages from a 1936 edition of "La Maison du Chat Qui Pelote" by Honoré de Balzac, measuring 18cms x 12cms (7" x 4¾".)
25 pages from a 1903 Edition of the "Pierre Larousse Nouveau Dictionnaire", measuring 16cms x 10cms (6¼ x 4".) You will receive a range of alphabet pages with words and images.
