Eight Mix and Match Fish Dinner Plates. Mismatched Fish Plates.

This is an amazing stack of 8 mixed fish plates, in eight different fish designs, a "ready-to-display" set for your china hutch/vintage dresser.
The perfect shabby chic plate collection, they are ideal for decorating kitchen walls or for celebrations/ weddings/ shabby chic dinner parties.
This is a 'one of a kind' plate collection, sumptuously ornate plates, rare and collectible.
All these plates are French, dating from the 1920's to the 1980's.

Altogether they weigh 3.3kgs/ 7.2 lbs!

The stack is made up of:

Two "Limoges Porcelain" small dinner plates, with gold "gilt" edges and a pretty trailing "flowers and fronds" gold border pattern, measuring 21cms/ 8¼" diameter.

One large "Lunéville Faience" dinner plate, with a fluted, gilt "line" edge and wide "ribbed" border. It measures 24.5cms/ 9¾" diameter. The mark dates from 1923 onwards.

Two "Porcelaine de Chauvigny" plates, with a fluted, wide, plain white border. These measure 24cms/ 9½" diameter.
These plates have large fish motifs, clean and fresh with a huge impact.

One "Guys Porcelaine, Limoges, France" plate, with a Pike fish and yellow flowers motif, measuring 25.5cms/ 10" diameter.

One "Porcelaine de la ville du bois" plate with delicate gilt "line" edge, wide border and filigree pattern. It measures 24cms/ 9½" diameter.

One 1950's "Porcelaine, Email de Limoges" plate, with a fluted, edge and delicate "gilt line" edge trim. The plate border is wide with a "gilded" pattern. It measures 25cms/ 9¾" diameter.

They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. They may have the faintest wear to the gilding and motifs, consistent with their age and use, and the faintest beginnings of "hairline crackle" to the glazes, which is to be expected with the age of these plates, and in no way detracts from the beauty or quality of this beautiful plate stack. They have many years of service yet to offer.
