An unusual and beautiful radish colander with matching plate. A delightful piece of genuine 1940s kitsch tableware, hand-painted, number ceramic.
It is unusual to find both the strainer and plate in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks.
A truly stunning table centrepiece for your salad course at dinner parties.
The bunches of radishes are raised in relief and form the handles at the side of the colander, tactile and delicately hand-painted. The ceramic is a gorgeous creamy "off-white", for that essential "vintage" look and feel.
Together the bowl and plate weigh 1.2ks/ 2.64 lbs.
The colander is 28cms/ 11" to the handles and 7cms/ 2¾" deep, with 4 drain holes.
The plate is 26cms/ 10¼" diameter.
They are both marked "Hand Painted" on the undersides and numbered "586".
