A 300g/ 10½ oz cube of Savon de Marseille, 72% Extra Pur (à l'huile d'olive) soap contains only olive oil, water, salt and soda, 100% natural. This soap has been aged and dried, developing an amazing patina. Easily recognized by their green color, these hand made soaps are not milled, so they lose moisture and turn brown with time. This color change does not affect the cleansing properties of Marseilles soap, it is still perfectly useable. Extra pure, this soap contains no dyes, fragrances, preservatives, fixatives or synthetic products. With a grater you can turn this soap into flakes and mix it with hot water, so that you can make your own detergent.
These soaps are so beautiful, they can just be left on a shelf as decoration. With time, they will dry out even more!

These items have been themed for their colour and texture. They have been deliberately left with their stains/scuffs and discoloration. Please take a good look at the photos as all these items have been deliberately left with their rust/tarnish marks/cooking stains. This "wear" is consistent with their age and genuine use in the kitchens of provincial France, so please do take a good look at the photos to view their condition. The "wear" simply make them more desirable and alluring. Essential for authenticity in styling.
