This set of six, Limoges porcelain, fish plates are the perfect gift for anglers. They are very collectible and an ideal gift for fish chefs.
Elegant and subtly understated, the plates are large, measuring 26.5cms/ 10½" diameter. They each weigh 500gms/ 1.1lbs. In amazing condition, with no chips or cracks, they all have the "Limoges, France" mark on the undersides.
There are five different fish designs on the plates (there is one duplicate motif), the illustrations are of freshwater fish, such as Trout and Carp, swimming amongst reeds in lakes/rivers. The colours are muted, subtle greens and grey/blues. The fish are accurately represented in browns and yellowy/greens, with spots and the odd hint of pink on the undersides. The scales and fins of the fish have been "picked out" in fine detail.
