This set of four, rare, French 'Digoin & Sarreguemines' vintage porcelain fish plates are the perfect gift for anglers. They are very collectible and an ideal gift for fish chefs. Dating from the 1960's, they all have a tactile, fluted, edge, with 'gilt' border line trim, and measure 23cms (9") diameter.
They each weigh 400gms (0.8lbs.)
They are in excellent condition, for their 60 year age, with no chips or cracks.
There are two different designs of fish swimming amongst water weeds and reeds.
The world famous 'Sarreguemines' pottery was established in 1775 in the Lorraine, Val de Loire, region. Production finally ceased in 1979, making these pieces incredibly sought after and hard to find.
