This is a set of six French cheese plates illustrated with famous French cheeses. A fabulous, fun cheese plate set with six different cheese labels from famous brands.
The plate all have 'Les Bons Fromages' written across the top of the motifs, which are examples of original 1970's branded cheese packaging.
The cheeses are:
Roquefort. This world famous blue cheese, made from sheep's milk, is produced in the Aveyron region of Southern France.
Bleu d'Auvergne. A cows milk blue cheese, named after its place of origin in the Auvergne region of south-central France.
Fromage pur lait de Chèvre, Charente. A pure goats milk cheese from the Charente region of Nouvelle Aquitaine.
Pont l’Évêque, Le Vieux Père, from Rouen, Normandy. Pont-l'Évêque soft, creamy cow's milk cheese is probably the oldest Norman cheese still in production.
Camembert, Fabriqué en Normandie. Camembert is a moist, soft, creamy, surface-ripened cow's milk cheese. It was first made in the late 18th century at Camembert, Normandy, in northern France.
Reblochon de Savoie, La Fernande, au lait cru. Reblochon is a soft washed-rind and smear-ripened French cheese made in the Alpine region of Savoy from raw cow's milk.
